In the screen printing industry, when printing plastic keyboard keys with UV ink, which one is better, the LED UV curing lamp or the tube?

In the screen printing industry, when printing plastic keyboard keys with UV ink, LED UV curing lamps generally have more advantages than traditional UV tubes, as follows:
Curing effect: The specific wavelength ultraviolet light emitted by LED UV curing lamps can precisely interact with the photosensitive components in the ink. Moreover, each lamp bead has a consistent light source, with consistent wavelength and high concentration, making the UV ink cure more evenly and better ensuring the curing quality of the ink on the keyboard keys, reducing problems such as ink shedding and poor wear resistance caused by uneven curing. While traditional UV tubes have weaker luminous intensity at both ends along the length direction compared to the middle part and cannot emit light evenly, which will affect the overall curing effect.
Energy consumption: LED UV curing lamps have lower energy consumption. Generally, they can save about 80% of electricity compared to traditional UV tubes. They do not require preheating and can be turned on or off instantly, further reducing energy consumption costs. Traditional UV tubes consume a large amount of electricity and need to be continuously lit. Even when not performing curing operations, they need to be kept on to avoid affecting the tube life due to frequent startups, resulting in power waste.
Service life: LED UV curing lamps have a longer service life, generally reaching 20,000-30,000 hours. The service life of traditional UV tubes is shorter, generally between 800 and 3000 hours. Frequent tube replacements are required, which not only increases consumable costs but also causes downtime due to tube replacements, affecting production efficiency.
Environmental friendliness: LED UV curing lamps do not contain harmful substances such as mercury and do not generate ozone, being more friendly to the environment and the health of operators. Traditional UV tubes contain mercury, and their disposal and transportation are more troublesome. Improper handling can cause serious pollution to the environment. Moreover, they generate ozone during operation and require corresponding ventilation equipment for treatment.
Heat radiation: LED UV curing lamps are cold light sources with almost no heat radiation, which can avoid deformation of plastic keyboard keys due to heating and affect product quality.
Traditional UV tubes generate a large amount of heat during operation, easily increasing the surface temperature of the irradiated plastic keyboard keys, which may lead to problems such as key deformation and ink discoloration.
