LED UV lamps also bring practical operational advantages for screen printing plants. Unlike mercury lamps, they have no warm-up or cool-down waiting time. Turn on the lamp and start curing right away; switch off instantly when production pauses, saving electricity. They also have a much longer service life, which means fewer lamp replacements and less downtime. No mercury inside also meets environmental requirements for consumer product manufacturing.
It is worth noting that lamp power and irradiation distance should be chosen according to your ink pigment level, ink thickness and substrate type. Dark heavy-color UV screen ink needs higher UV energy. For ultra heat-sensitive materials, water-cooled LED UV curing lamps will be the better choice.
